Post-exposure prophylaxis and curative treatment of anthrax by inhalation. In adults: lower respiratory tract infection caused by Gram-negative bacteria (exacerbation of COPD, bronchopulmonary infection in cystic fibrosis or bronchiectasis, pneumonia). Chronic suppurative otitis media and malignant otitis externa. Acute exacerbation of chronic sinusitis (Gram-negative). Urinary tract infections. Gonococcal urethritis and cervicitis caused by N. gonorrhoeae. Orchitis, epididymitis, including those caused by N. gonorrhoeae. Gastrointestinal tract infections (e.g., traveler's diarrhea), intra-abdominal infections, skin and soft tissue infections (Gram-negative), bone and joint infections. Treatment and prophylaxis of infections in patients with neutropenia. Prophylaxis of invasive infections caused by N. meningitidis. In children and adolescents: bronchopulmonary infections in cystic fibrosis caused by P. aeruginosa, complicated urinary tract infections, pyelonephritis, and severe infections as necessary.
