Fluconazole Infusion 2mg/ml – 100ml

  1.  Cryptococcosis, including cryptococcal meningitis and infections in other sites (e.g., pulmonary, cutaneous). It can be treated in normal hosts and patients with AIDS, transplant recipients, or other causes of immunosuppression. Fluconazole can be used as maintenance therapy to prevent the relapse of cryptococcal diseases in patients with AIDS.
  2.  Systemic candidiasis, including candidemia, disseminated candidiasis, and other forms of invasive Candida infection. These include infections of the peritoneum, endocardium, eyes, and pulmonary and urinary systems. Patients in intensive care units with cancer, those receiving cytotoxic or immunosuppressive treatment, or with other predisposing factors for Candida infections can be treated.
  3. Mucosal candidiasis, including oropharyngeal, esophageal, non-invasive bronchopulmonary candidiasis, candiduria, mucocutaneous candidiasis, and chronic atrophic oral candidiasis (associated with the use of dentures). Normal hosts and patients with compromised immune function can also be treated. Prevention of relapse of oropharyngeal candidiasis in patients with AIDS.
  4. Genital candidiasis. Acute or recurrent vaginal candidiasis and prophylaxis to reduce the incidence of recurrent vaginal candidiasis (3 or more episodes per year). Candida balanitis.
  5. Prophylaxis of fungal infections in patients with malignant tumors who are predisposed to such infections as a result of cytotoxic or radiation therapy.
  6. Dermatomycosis, including Tinea pedis, Tinea corporis, Tinea cruris, Tinea versicolor, Tinea unguium (onychomycosis), and cutaneous candidiasis.
  7. Deep endemic mycoses in immunocompromised patients, including coccidioidomycosis, paracoccidioidomycosis, sporotrichosis, and histoplasmosis.
