Gentamicin Injection 80mg/2mL
Gentamicin is indicated in conditions such as: Gastrointestinal infections; Genitourinary infections and renal infections; Septicemia; Peritonitis or pelvic infections; Intra-abdominal infections; Skin, soft tissue, and bone infections; Eye infections; Infected wounds and burns; Bone and joint infections. In these conditions, there should be suspicion or certainty that the causative organism is a gram-negative bacterium such as Pseudomonas aeruginosa, E. coli, Proteus, Klebsiella, Enterobacter, Serratia, Citrobacter, Staphylococcus (both coagulase-positive and coagulase-negative), or Neisseria gonorrhoeae. Gentamicin has been effectively used in combination with carbenicillin for severe infections caused by Pseudomonas aeruginosa.
