Hydroxychloroquine Sulfate Tablets 200mg
Hydroxychloroquine is indicated in adults for:
- Treatment of acute or chronic rheumatoid arthritis.
- Treatment of systemic and discoid chronic lupus erythematosus.
- Prophylaxis and treatment of uncomplicated malaria caused by susceptible Plasmodium species, as an alternative to chloroquine (when first-line treatments are not suitable or available).
- Hydroxychloroquine is indicated in adolescents (12 years of age and older) and in children aged 9 to 11 years with a body weight greater than 31 kg for:
- Prophylaxis and treatment of uncomplicated malaria caused by susceptible Plasmodium species, as an alternative to chloroquine (when first-line treatments are not suitable or available). Official recommendations regarding the treatment and prevention of malaria should be taken into account.
