Adults: The indications include infections in adults caused by microorganisms sensitive to cefepime, such as lower respiratory tract infections, including severe pneumonia; Complicated urinary tract infections, including pyelonephritis; Intra-abdominal infections, including peritonitis and biliary tract infections; Septicemia and bacteremia; Empirical treatment of febrile episodes in patients with neutropenia. Children: Cefepime is indicated for the treatment of the following infections caused by bacteria sensitive to cefepime: Empirical treatment of febrile episodes in patients with neutropenia; Bacterial meningitis.
