SULFAMETHOXAZOLE AND TRIMETHOPRIM are indicated for: Respiratory tract infections: Chronic bronchitis, otitis media, pneumonia. Urogenital infections: Urinary tract infections, urethritis, pyelonephritis, cystitis, and prostatitis. Gastrointestinal tract infections: Typhoid fever, paratyphoid fever, shigellosis, traveler's diarrhea caused by enterotoxigenic E. coli, and cholera.
